CULTURAL DISTRICT — Even after developing office and residential lofts Downtown and in various city neighborhoods for more than six years, Eve Picker says she still has to scramble for money for her projects.
"It's tough getting financing," Ms. Picker, 49, told the Business Times during a recent interview at her offices on the second floor of the Bruno Building on Liberty Avenue, a turn-of-the-century building she purchased in 1999 for $125,000. "I've really become a numbers person and skilled at leveraging every cent."
