High industrial ceilings, exposed plumbing, and all that jazz—the South Side Lofts, once home to the Duquesne Brewery plant, now serves as an upscale address for 52 distinguished residences. With the original twelve inches of cork still insulating its roof, this 150-year-old building once served as a cold storage house for the beer. The individual loft entrances, which line up along jumbo-sized hallways, are connected by wide tread plate baseboards, and dwarfed by the high industrial-like ceilings.
