Sellers say Downtown condos are moving well

Despite the nationwide credit crunch and slumping real estate market, Downtown condominiums continue to sell well, say local real estate executives and agents.
"We had anticipated a slowdown over the last two weeks, but we've been thrilled with the activity. There's a lot of excitement as new units are finished," said Helen Hanna Casey, president of Howard Hanna Real Estate Services.
Howard Hanna is marketing Three PNC on Fifth Avenue, a 26-story, mixed-use structure that will include office space, a 165-room hotel and 28 luxury condominiums starting at $500,000. Hanna also is handling sales at 151 First Side, Keystone Lofts on Liberty Avenue and 5 Lofts on Penn.
