Duquesne Light CEO Morgan O'Brien, wife spend $2.4 million on Downtown Pittsburgh condo penthouse

Facing a dismal market for new homes, one Downtown condo developer received some good news last month.

Morgan O’Brien, president and CEO of Downtown-based utility Duquesne Light Holdings Inc., and his wife, Kathleen, purchased the second penthouse at the 18-story 151 First Side condominium project for a little less than $2.4 million.

O’Brien declined to comment through a representative.

The price for the building’s second and final penthouse far eclipses the $1.5 million that was paid for the property’s first penthouse shortly after construction began about three years ago.
