The developer plans a mixed-use development on the seven-acre site of the Don Allen Auto City on Baum Blvd. and Liberty Ave. plus adjoining properties. The project will include a 120-room hotel, 350K square feet of retail space, 300K square feet of office space, and 58K square feet of street-level commercial retail space. There will be 150 residencial spaces including condos and townhouses.
Demolition of the auto dealership will take place in the summer of 2008 with completion expected within 48 months.

The former YMCA building is being converted into a condominium with 35 loft units with 4,200 square feet of retail space on the first floor and five residential floors including a new sixth penthouse floor with a roof terrace. The units would range in size from 700 square feet to 1,500 square feet. Building amenities include an underground parking garage. The five-story building was built in 1908 and at one time was a major activity center for the neighborhood.
Designed by architecture firm Sample Brown Design. Original pricing is expected to start at $185,000.
Delivery timeframe: Unknown. Construction is expected to start as early as Fall 2008 or in Spring 2009.
