In the Southside Flats area, the former Duquesne Brewery plant was built in 1899. In 1933, the Duquesne Brewoergy clock was installed, making it the largest single face clock in the world at the time. Closed in 1972, the brewery was re-opened in 2002 after a developer converted the buildings into residential, office, and art gallery space. There are 54 residential loft units that range between 1,100 to 2,100 square feet of living space. Ceilings range between 13 to 17 feet high. Other loft features include open floor plans, large windows, exposed brick walls, concrete floors, and exposed steel beams. Originally priced at $99,500.
