Built in 1930, the seven-story New Federal Cold Storage concrete building will be converted into 120 to 140 loft condominiums after the Wholey family completes the sale to Sampson Morris Group at the end of 2008. The residences will occupy the top five floors and 200 parking spaces in the first two floors of the 292,600 square foot building. Units are expected to range between 800 and 1,200 square feet. The architect is Desmone and Associates.
