A new residence was created by renovating an existing 3,000 square-feet former water heater factory building completed in 1898 and adding a 1,500 square foot addition. The two-story loft project, featuring steel and glass, was designed by EDGE studio. The main living space, dining area, and kitchen are on the upper floor while the master suite is located on the lower level. The project was featured in Met Home magazine inJune 2005 and was an honorable mention from Pittsburgh Magazine Superior Interior for residences greater than 3,500 square feet.
